Dined here twice in the last week -- and I have to say, I think dinner is probably more appealing than lunch. Either way, the kalbi and bulgogi are both delicious. We don't mind making the trip out to Aikahi Shopping Center for this hole-in-the-wall gem with friendly customer service and delicious Korean cuisine.

I really like their tangy veggie slaw with the savory kalbi, and the bulgogi has a nice smokey flavor to it as well. Prices are reasonable, parking is easy, and restrooms are available within the restaurant.

Talk about a real local style atmosphere restaurant with good solid Korean food.

Kim Chee Soon Dubu: 4/5.  Not the best or most "authentic" but it still yummy in the tummy.  I don't mean not "authentic" as an insult to this establishment, it's just I am use to the soup coming out piping hot (bubbly still and with a raw egg I can crack and stir in the soup).  But it was still tasty and satisfied my craving.

My dad got the mixed lunch plate which was a variety of meat (meat jun and kalbi and one other meat that I can't recall completely but I think it was fish).  I tried a slice of kalbi and it was good.  My dad enjoyed the plate.

My mom had the soon dubu vegetarian style and she enjoyed her dish as well.  My mom also missed having it bubbly hot and with a raw egg to crack in the soup but she still enjoyed the dish.

It's a hole in a wall in Kaneohe, the place is clean and the employees are friendly.  If you're in the area definitely check them out!

An exceptional Korean restaurant located on the Kailua/Kaneohe border.....They take great pride (and pains!) in delivering delicious traditional Korean cuisine, economically and with superb style.

The ambiance is ohana-informal but the dishes are of a quality far above the more popular dining competitors, giving the place an almost 5-star Michelin rating!

The night I decided to try them, I called in my order before leaving work and when I arrived 30 mins later, they were just bringing the food out from the kitchen.  Talk about precision! They happily accommodated my request for No MSG, and no soy, and my bill was quickly and efficiently settled.

There is a small 10-table dining area but every time I've tried to dine in, the wait list was over an hour.  Tonight was no exception as there were a couple families waiting outside the door. I highly recommend that if you wish to dine in, to write your name on the sign in book.  This should not be taken as an inconvenience but rather as a testament to how good the food is here!

I was 1000% happy with getting my order to go (fish jun and ohjingoh bokum), as the taste was exquisite even after the short drive home.

Highly recommend them for both dining or take out, but be aware that on weekends this restaurant is extremely packed.

Located in the same shopping plaza as Safeway and Tamura's liquor store, there is plenty of free parking.

Do try them soon. Mahalo for reading my review.

Came here with some friends on a Friday night.  I was really excited to dine here because I had not eaten their food in years!  I remember someone from work ordering take out and picking up lunch at least once a month back in the day!  Of course the food did not disappoint...it was just as good as I remember.

They served generous portions of banchan (small side dishes) and they were all delicious!  I ordered the fish jun as my meal and an order of chap chae to share.  The fish jun was perfectly cooked and sauce was great!  The chap chae wasn't the best that I've had, but definitely tasted better the next day!

Great family owned restaurant with good food and customer service!  I will definitely dine here again!

Simply put, the best Korean food in Hawaii. Go for lunch if you're trying to score a deal. In particular I feel their meat jun and katsu sauce are far superior to anywhere else.
